here's a couple of pics of my old male bleekeri.. or whats known as polleni "large spot" he was one of the original paratilapias that came into the uk back in about 1994 he was about 12" long when he died!

There's quite a "hard-core" Malagasy group on Yahoo, international (includes some of the folks in the article), as well as "homegrowns" like us, who travel to Madagascar with some frequency, trying to rescue the various, rapidly disappearing species. The country is in a bit of uproar, and most of the native population is not terribly concerned with maintaining a bunch of fish. Can't quite remember the name, it's Madfish (group), I'll post it when I get home if you're interested (can't access Yahoo on school computers). They talk alot about bleekeri/polleni as well as other really fascinating Malagascy species; I've found it very informative. FWIT, Renee
