Went to my lfs today, and they had a whole tank full of 2" silvers. Wanted $20 for them. We had just come from another store where they wanted twice as much for 3". Also had a whole tank full of Jardini. $40. Still not bad.

those are pretty much like average prices for those aros around here the prices are pretty much the same
really? i need to move there then. Im usually lucky to see silvers for under 40. 60 to 70 is usually more the average. And yes we picked one up.
Average for here as well.. The LFS's here get 2-3" Silvers, dump 30 of them in a tank and pump them out for between 15.99 and 19.99 ea.

I have only seen silver arowanas 3 times in my life around here. One time there was one that was about 7-8" and about $40. Another time ther was one that was about 5-6" and it was $70. The other day I saw some with the yolk sac stil attached and they were $20.
The $40 one was a deal, but it was just because someone had brought it in and they didn't want to hold onto it.
