I was just wondering about everyones opinions on the best and most interesting single fish for a 55 gal. I do not want africans because they are usually not big enough for a good centerpiece fish and they grow too slowly. I was kind of leaning torward the central american kind.

ive seen people sugest grammodes for a 55. which i personaly dno if it would work., but they are a great looking monster fish. also called Mini dovii, if its doable and it was me i would

How about a texas cichlid? they get decent sized and are very pretty as adults....also maybe a black belt cichlid....both would do great as single specimen species tank candidates

well fahakan puffer would be african, but it will be an attraction to many

Fahaka Puffer

Fahaka Puffers get way too large for a 55g, they can reach 18''+. I would go for a Jack Dempsey or Green Terror.

Green Terror, Red Devil, Oscar, Jack Dempsey, Red Texas, Midas, Flowerhorn, Guppy....
