Hello,

The wife and I have been keeping fish for about 18 years now. 100% freshwater.

Currently we are designing 2 tanks that will be 6' deep. One 840 gallon Salt water (trying something new) and the other a 480 gallon fresh water tank.

Right now I having a hard time figuring how thick of glass I need for our largest panel 6' X 5' and found this forum doing my research. I'm think 1 1/2" sheet glass but wonder if 3/4" tempered glass would work. It's hard to find any glass over 3/4".. Well maybe you guys can help with that also. LOL

Well just wanted to say Hi and let you know we are around.

Welcome to MFK...

Post pics of the progress of the tank..They r goona be monster...

LOL, actually I could start them now. We have the floor taped off where they will be built and am 99% sure on the glass (would just like to see someone else say my numbers are good) so more than likely we will be starting this weekend with the base cabinets.

PS: I posted in the DIY section with my calculations so maybe someone over there will let me know or tell me I'm crazy.:screwy:
