anyone here ever bought discus from them? also when they say assorted discus, we talkin bout pale grey discus?

Cary Strong has a good reputation for raising discus. I, however, did not have a good experience using him. If you would like to know what happened please pm me.
I bought discus from Cary years ago when he was breeding and selling his own fish. He won several big time awards back in the day for breeding. He always treated me and everyone else right back then. He has since partnered with other people that run a LFS, and I think now they import most discus. I have not ordered any fish from this newer business.
assorted means, that you don't get to pick the strain colors.
exp. 3- 5 inch assorted discus $375.00 it could be 2 blue diamonds,and a snow white.
or it could be 2 snow whites and a blue diamond, or all blue diamonds etc etc.

Assorted or not. Never order discus online without knowing the strain you are getting. Different seller has different names for the strain but make sure you ask what strain you are getting. If you are not provided with the actual picture of the discus, one from the group will do. If it's a juvie, picture of the parents will be helpful.
