I am usually not a huge Wanderlei fan but this is one excellent highlight covering his wide range of abilities and best of all his strongest years.

Watch in HQ!

Enjoy ,

wandy!

another good one...Sakuraba vs. Gracies (start at 2:36)

I agree he seems to have lost his intensity after the Chuck Liddell fight. Its too bad he is an extremely talented fighter and in his day would have sent Rich Franklin spinning to his corner. Anyone notice the first couple fights were true vale tudo fights ? Bare knuckle :)

Brutal kick to the back of the head at 1:32. Really points out how many rules there are in UFC compared to the old days. And I always love seeing Tito run away. Wanderlei is a beast, there arent many fighters that can make an 11minute highlight reel interesting all the way through.

werd , this is a highlight every mma fan must see. Especially his head stomps on yuki kondo and his unbelievable KO's of rampage :D Makes me happy I focus on vale tudo and chute box nowadays.

wow man the old school fights bring me back! Back then it was some really brutal/knockdown drag out sh*t! The definition of extreme punishment-and true warrior style violence. And kids these days need guns? It makes me sick! But that's another topic all together.Great highlights!

its guys like Wanderlei that made me want to adapt my martial arts skills to fighting in a cage or ring. the guy was an absolute beast up until not long ago, and could stand and bang with the best of them. the intensity he has, and the absolute love for the sport and his fans makes you have to like the guy.

if it wasent for the years of fighting vale tudo, and taking an insane ammount of damage just then from the bare knuckles fights, he would still be running through anyone and everyone right now. unfortunetly, those days really seem to have taken a toll on him, plus all the highlight worthy matches he had in pride, and took a beating too.

the axe murderer aint just done yet however, he's still got a few good fights left in him.

Wow some of those hits hurt just to watch.. I think I'd still be into MMA fights if they were still so brutal and fundementally unsafe, lost a lot of appeal once it tamed down for the mainstream.
