I currently own a 180 gallon aquarium with six Argenteas, I currently have one large male (9 - 10 inches) with several slightly smaller Argenteas (between 4.5 -7 inches) which I had confirmed that one was a female. Anyhow I was swapping the smaller fish with my neighbor CLGKAG who is in the process of obtaining a spawning pair, well the two smallest cichlids are mostly ignored uncer 5 inches, however within the last two months the large male has spawned with the first female where he ate the eggs and chased her off, then two weeks later he spawned with different female (eggs hatched and made it to wigglers (she ate them) now the third female is now showing signs of getting ready to spawn (tube is now showing). :headbang2 For those how don't know I have posted pics of my male and the 1st female on this board back on september showing both fish with fry if you want to see what they looked like when they were younger
