Great value on T8 Fluorescent light

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the info. As expensive as the hobby is becoming I need to save every dime I can.

T8's are the smaller ones, right? If so I am running the same bulb in my blacked out aquarium. It has just one on a 90 and it looked the best, as the others were way yellow. The 10K bulbs really bring out the colors!

BTW I just added x2 18" aquarium bulbs with offset timing, they are the morning light, and the T8 is the mid-day.

Yes T8's are the smaller one's in diameter and they are also more energy efficient!

not to be a prude but actually the t5 (1/2")is the small lamp the t8 is the medium sized (~3/4") and the t12 are the very large ones ~1 1/8"

The "T" number in the description of florescent bulbs designates the diameter of the tube. Each T = 1/8". I think the range is T2 - T12.
