Who do guys consider the best fighter of all time,not including mayweather.(his the best now tho). When i say fighter i mean boxing (none of that goofy mma stuff).

my fav is james toney.Looks like a slob now,but any body that goes from middleweight to heavyweight, and wins title after title should get respect,
I feel Muhammad Ali coming up in second,could be wrong.
Best aside, my favorite fighter of all time is George Foreman...too bad he never got a shot at tyson, it almost happened in 1990....

Not only are MMA fighters trained in boxing, they also have an arsenal of different styles, techniques and tactics. I derail though...It's tough to pick one boxer, as there are many different weight classes. Are we talking about pure ability, pound-for-pound, greatest KO power etc. I would have to say Joe Louis, then Cassius Clay coming in a close second. just my opinion of course.
sorry to say but boxing takes alot more skill then mma.and mma fighters arent trainined in boxing.Just because they are training their hands dosent mean they are trained in boxing.In mma you have to be squared up in order to sprawl for takedowns,while in boxing you have to be balanced with your shoulder facing you opponent,chin tucked and on your toes.the list goes on.
O and i bet anything a top notch boxer is more conditoned then a top mma fighter.
