Hi everyone. I have a 3.5 inch oscar in a 18x48 tank with a 10 inch ornate and a 4.5 inch gourami. Firstly, is this setup ok?

Secondly, and more importantly, the oscar is very greedy and active and pounces on any food I put into the tank. Often, little to none is left for the other two. Is there any way to solve this problem besides transferring the oscar out? Please advice, thanks =)

I handfeed my O at first hand.
He allways gets first choise, until he's stuffed.
Then I feed my Gar by hand.
The rest of the fish just have to wait until they're full!
But i trained them from the beginning and my Oscar gets full and is satisfied then.
I suppose that your fish does not stop eating....

I sort of do the same thing. I feed the oscar floating nearly by hand and drop sinking in for the bichir on the opposite side of hte tank or at lights out.

That's a typical problem with Oscars. I'd just feed at different ends if you want to keep the 2 together. The Gourami won't last long (in my opinion) with the Oscar.

i agree. gourami's tend to be slow and not agile. O's gonna bully that gourami for sure

Oh, yeah. We don't know what kind of gourami. I was assuming trichogaster.
