Hello, figured I should say hi. I had fish when I was a kid, but our "big tank" (29g) was plagued with problems and we finally gave away the fish and got gerbils. Turned me off of keeping fish for a while.. Found out later our tank was part of a recall, the sealant was poisoning the water, it was NOT poor fish keeping killing them all.
So, fast forward a few years, my husband bought a 10g on impulse for me and later was given a 45g from a friend. The 10 is basically my khuli house, the 45 I set up brackish so I could get a dragon goby. Took 6 months after I had the tank cycled but I finally got him! He's my only "monster" so far (at 5inches I feel silly calling him that..) but until I have a house of my own there won't be much expansion
Eventually, I'll sink a small (probably ever expanding) fortune into getting some dream tanks :headbang2
I'd like to expand the dragon into a 170g or so that I've been eyeing for a while.. so I can have the space for some of the larger brackish fish once he's a little bigger but I simply have no where to put it. :(

Anyway, I'm from Boston, live in North Dakota now, life practically revolves around animals (a parrot is barking at me right now) and in addition to the tanks I care for a dog, a cat, a fennec fox, a tarantula, and 3 parrots- an african grey, a quaker, and a sun conure.

And this is getting pretty long so yeah, hello all! and I'm done..

I'm, pretty sure I'll soon be in the same boat ;)
Hubby thinks the 45 is "big" but also wants bigger fish, he doesn't do ANY of the work or research so it all falls on me. He likes puffers, marine inverts and complete oddballs.
Eventually I think I'd like to make the 45 a puffer tank for him, he'd enjoy it as would I. However, he can't handle the current feeding OR cleaning/water changing/maintenance schedules.. I'd like to see what he does when we get HIS "dream tank" (size wise) and I tell him he can have a say over what lives in it when he can maintain the 45
