Hello everyone , i would like to share with you my next project , plywood tank 610 gallons , with only a small glass at the one side , without any stand.
Dimensions are 8ft x 3,7ft x 3 ft , made from 0,8 inch plywood , sides and reenforcing .
It also has a sump of 45 gallons and is running with 2 pumps of 925 and 1.000 g/h .
This tank is finished and running for about a week , used biological inoculum from my other plywood tanks , and i just added the first fish in it , 10 inch cichla ocellaris .
This plywood tank was mostly made for my freshwater stingrays , at the moment only motoros , 2 females and 3 males , but i will introduce them inside only when i am sure everything is well with the water conditions.
Thanx to the plywood , it needs only maximum 500 watt heaters ( i believe it can be done with less too ) , something very important as far as the maintenance cost is concerned !!!
Here are some photos and videos of the biggest tank i've ever had!!!!!
