What's the best way to get rid of green stringy algea on my plants and on the sides of my liner around the pond? I have been vacuuming my gravel and doing water changes for weeks, don't seem to help.

Barley extract.

Green Clean Granular Algaecide is "supposedly" the best product on the market to get rid of string algae. I just bought some on ebay, and am expecting to get it any day now. I'll post before and after pictures to show you how it turns out.

or barley straw in general... works great... and the best part is... no one really knows why...

google it

And it is 100% natural, fish and plant safe, and works.

Not a quick fix, but def. cures all stringy algae.

I ordered barley extract and it says you are suppose to use it before the pond get's algea. It is "prevention" So I guess this won't help me right now lol. dang it
