Green arowana tank questions

I've been researching but haven't found anything. So my questions are what kinda of lighting and for how long should I give a green arowana? Might be stupid but I'm here to learn so how about tanning? And would different color tank background affect a green arowana?

I'm asking these questions because for different asian arowanas (xb, red) I've been reading that some require more light than others and different light.

I just get regular lights for my arowana not the expensive led lights cause those are the price of the fish tank that i got off craigslist. I don't think the background of the tank will efect the arowana as far as im concerned.

It doesn't do much tanning as tanning basically brings out the red pigments i think it was called in an aro where as a green doesnt have red pigments on scales. As for the background, the background itself does not directly affect it, but, the darker your tank is, the darker your aro becomes, the lighter your tank, the lighter the aro becomes.

I've kept mine with new, quality aquarium bulbs as well as cheap Home Depot shop lights and neither seem to change the fishes attitude, personality, behavior or feeding. Better aquarium lighting certainly does show off more of the beautiful and subtle colors.
