I know this probably has been asked many times. But I need your opinion before I purchase a Green Asian Arowana.

Planning to put a Green (12cms) with a Silver (30cm) in a 6x2x2 tank. Will there be any problems? I do have an extra tank if they will fight however I dont have time to take care of two tanks.

I know having more arowanas would spread the agressiveness but this is not an option. I also know people will advise me to get a RTG etc, but its too expensive for my budjet at the moment.

What are people thoughts?

Keep an attentive eye. The silver might harm the smaller green.

The green will be small only 12cms. And the silver is now 30cms. The silver is actually very peaceful to the tank mates at the moment.

King-el : So the Asian Green may harm the silver? I thought it was the other way around.

If people think there is a good chance that they wont get along, I probably will not get the Green.

5" green and 12" silver should be fine. Although the silver sound much longer, he's not bigger, since they height of both is about the same. Besides, silver is much mellow than green, so that shouldn't be a problem. You can also add a Fei-feng, or some silver dollars to distract the aros from fighting. You don't have to add another aros

Just compare the size of their head. If they look about the same size, then it should be fine. Silver is longish.
