their scientific name has changed like 10 times in the last few years so i'm not really sure what it's currently called: rhadinophis prasina, rhadinophis prasinum, gonyosoma prasina, gonyosoma prasinum...??? it used to be "elaphe prasina" back in the day.
well, just wanted to share a few pics and what i know about them.
i picked it up at the hamburg show on august 6th.
this one is a male, currently eating frozen/thawed small adult mice (already ate twice for me).
it spends a lot of time in the water bowl, probably because it's really hot right now.
they prefer relatively cool temperatures (70's).
they can be nippy, but this one seems pretty calm and a little shy. no attempts to bite me yet.
they can get to be close to 4ft, but average is 3ft.
if you keep or ever kept them before, please share your experiences!!!
