green hair algae

i got this green hairy stuff in my tank i've had it many times in the past but just scrubbed it off my pleco won't touch it its taking over the driftwood how can i get rid of it

reduce feedings. lights off for 3 days. frequent water changes.

I just purchased Excel & a UV Steralizer to get ride of my algae problem. Fingers crossed!

add a marino ball. it is algea that stays together and if you keep some it will prevent algea from growing on other things
