I ve got a pair of green horse face 3 weeks ago.Male is 22cm and female is 15cm.The female is not eating what ever i tried from dry ,frozen or live food. Some days ago i saw her swimming with her face pointing to the bottom of the tank and her tail on the top and i though that she ll die.I treated her with Octozin and now she has her balance back swimming all over the tank but she still no eating. She is trying and pick everything that i give her and after 5-10 seconds it comes out from her gills .
Has anybody experienced something like that before?
Any advice is welcome ..

Yesterday she was trying to eat for 6-7 hours.I gave her 0.5mm ans 1.00mm Srectrum for cichlids and chopped prawns and i put vitamins in the tank. She is looking better and better but i am not sure yet.
Any thoughts? Any chance to have worms or parasites?

I have no idea what a "green horseface cichlid" is...but from what you described I would try treating the fish with clout. It's a good overall "fix it" medication. Your original description of the ailment sounds a lot like a swim bladder disorder.

Thank you for that mate but it is not easy to get clout cause i live in Australia.Octozin i think must be similar with clout cause both of them can treat bloat if i am not mistaken. Now the only issue is the food and she looks that very soon will start eating again.Green horse face is [h=1]Satanoperca jurupari.[/h]

I believe horseface is Astatheros(at one time Amphilophus) nourisatti.
Is the male harassing her, they are very hard on others of their own kind? She may need her own tank until she recovers.

They work better (IMO) in a group of 6 females to 1 male.
