A few updated pics of my Green Istlanum and Red Istlanum. The Green is in a 260 and is about 5" and the Red is in a different tank at about 4".

They're looking really good bro:) those guys are full of attitude and personality. The red has some nice color goin;) keep the pics coming on both. So what do you think of them?

Thanks again Broheim. I like them both but I think the Red has more potential as it gets larger. In terms of attitude both are very aggressive just as you said!!!!

This is one of my bucketlist fish, they look fantastic.

I recently recommended them to someone. They are impressive.

I just sent the last of my group to cichluvr who has another bloodline of the reds and will be breeding to get into circulation:) not sure when he'll have them ready for sale but keep on the look out for him guys:)

Nice pics. Are the reds and blues different subspecies? Can you breed reds and blues together and get a mix of red islantums and blue islantums, or would that be sort of a hybrid? I've kept and studied cichlids for decades, but some of this stuff confuses me. I know if you breed a pink convict to a striped one, you will get a batch that has some pinks and some striped. I was wonder if this was the case here.
