I was at work tonight and spotted a small green thing sticking out of a piece of live rock. I looked closer and saw tiny reflective eyes and knew instantly what it was. We managed to lure it out with some krill and I managed a picture. I'm not sure if the pic wil turn out, but I will post it on this thread when I get it edited. Anybody know of a bright green colored mantis? Also, what size and type is the species?

Found it. It's this one:

I'll post the pic when I can get it edited

Pic isn't great, but at least I got him out of his burrow.

If I had to judge from it's behavior, I'd say it's a slasher species. Anyone have experience with this one? I'd love to own this animal, but I decided to take down my saltwater setup because it was just too expensive and I'd rather spend the money on improving my FW collection. This made me think twice.

Wicked. You should get it Wurm.

Ewurm, definately a smasher.

It might be N. wennerae or G. viridis.

Contact Dr. Roy Caldwell (search him up) and he will tell you instantly what species you have.

Hope you keep it! Mantis shrimp are great pets.
