I have a Green severum. Its face has alot of blue along with blue on the fins, On the face inbetween the blue "Worm figuration" there is a light shade of red. On the under fins it has ALOT of red.
Is there any way to Sex them i will get some pics up soon.

Generally dark facial worms indicate a male, and hugely extended dorsal, anal and pectoral fins (not so much 'streamers' like Geophagus have though).

Some males won't have the worms, and some females will also have longish extensions. Post a photo and we can sex it for you.

As for colouration, Severums are one of the most colour varying fish in my opinion. I also have a Severum with an electric/fluro blue facial area but very little red, whereas my other Severum is often a very dark olive colour with a solid cream and red underside. Both of my Severums have a slightly noticeable blue lining to their dorsal fin.

Nice CL Adam, like the half-stripe. Oh but that severum is pretty ugly, he's gonna bring your whole tank down...if you want to I'll take him off your hands though :)

Seriously, nice sev. I love all the blue, all the way back to the dorsal too. I want one like that.

just takes time i bought mine little over a year ago and its color sucked for the longest time. i was using hikari staple for about 6 months to get it to grow quick but have switched to hikari cichlid gold and the colors have come in nicely. krill and market shrip are nice treats as well. goodluck
