Being a newbie here, I can't view the photos yet. My male is a quite a bit larger than my female, thank god she is fiesty. It took them 3 unsuccessful tries before they got the egg duties right.

I let the parents tend and raise the fry until they are six weeks old, they are such doting parents. I hope you do have a breeding pair, it has been so much fun.

Yours are awesome!!! My female is the larger and she is also extremely aggressive..... Will lunge at you when you go up to the tank..... They were taken to my lfs (together) by their previous owner because of their aggression so I had to keep there together..... Male puts up with a little abuse but nothing major.... :)

I love the golds, would like to get a pair soon. First have to figure out where to put all these fry....I am running out of room

I was having some trouble with my male being too aggressive, thats when I added the guppies, They have never been fed live fish, but if they ate a guppy or two no biggy. I only have two guppies in there now and it seems to keep them from harassing each other, they would rather chase the guppies.

Dither fish..... Good idea. I haven't had my severums that long...... That would prob help. The male has his own little area/hiding spot which he spends most of his time in..... Dither fish might help bring him out.....
