So my Green Severum is finally getting some colors. Figured I'd try my first picture upload in celebration. Also its the first time I'm using a new camera too so be nice!
No ideas on the sex of this guy? I've read the worming on the face is indicative of males, and spotting for females but on this one I'm not sure how to describe the markings. It's more of a mottled mess, and full beard under the mouth. As for the size I'd estimate 3 inches long and 2 inches tall, so we may need more time for adult marking to fully develop.
I think she needs more time and will be a female. Not a severum expert, merely a guess! Good looking photo, the camera is doing well. I prefer more natural lighting color, like yours, to the heavy blue marine lighting I see on some cichlid pics.
