I have 2 green sevs growing out right now, both about 2-3" and I was wondering if I could set them up in a 55g for life? They would be in there with some barbs and some other smaller fish but if this won't work how big would I need.

if you get a pair, you'll be good for a long time but will prolly need to upgrade. if its two males you will run into problems. i've had my severum pair in a 55g for about 2yrs. they are starting to get a little cramped so i have a 75g for them
my male is about 8-9" and my female is about 7". they've been spawning since they were about 4" or so.
Alright that sounds good, I have a interesting tank that I could also use, the dimensions are 3'l x 2'h x 18"w would that be better?
the 3ft part is gonna be a problem. mine will get into it from time to time and i couldn't imagine them swimming back and forth in just a 3foot tank...
