So I have a problem (and pics to support coming tomorrow).

A while back my male angel (which I had incorrectly IDed as a female) hit sexual maturity and the pair decided to spawn. The result? The female guarding eggs in a community tank and a beat up male. I took the male out and put him in another tank and seemed to bounce back fast.

I was doing a water change tonight and realized the male (still separated) had some of his once missing scales that had turned into shiny green patches. Most of it is around the gills and is almost an emerald color. I freaked out (had a cory die today too, but I think that's coincidence, as this one was old and was lookin bad anyways). So on investigating my fish I found that some blue/red colombians, the cories, and the original angel all had a few of these spots. Am I just really unobservant and this happens to tropical fish? I looked up all known skin disorders and can find nothing that looks even close to it or a picture of any fish that looks like it. I'm just plain confused at this point.
