hi all! :headbang2sadly :( my green spotted puffer is twitching :nilly: relentlessly :nilly: and even i dont know what that means. can anyone help? tell me what it is? other than this hes healthy im just confused with this twitching:irked:

Whats your salinity and water parameters. Thats the best way to figure if theres something wrong with the water or him.

salinity 1.012 and ammonia, nitrate, nitrite and stuff like that are all low... relatively new tank with regular water changes

fed him another snail... too big. tried to swallow it and its stuck in his mouth and he wont hold still so i can get it out... any suggestions on how to handle him? lol

When you say parameters are low...... Do you mean above 0?? Puffers are sensitive.... VERY Sensitive. Is your tank cycled or are you using the puffer to cycle?

now hes lethargic and hiding under his cave [seen in my video -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boEal07fU1Y --] not active and only accepts snails (he did accept krill, bloodworms, and river shrimp)

it sounds like he is having reactions to inadequate water parameters. You should also check to see if your pH is high enough. You should stop the feeding and wait for your water levels to become right.

Please post exact water parameters.
