Hey guys/gals, quick question.. my buddy has 3 green potted puffers, and one, he wants to know if there are any fish tht can live peacefully with them, and 2) and what to do bout algae control, all the snails have died that he has gotten, sooo, what will survive brackish water and green spotted puffers???

Too nippy and other tankmates are other gsp’s.

For the algae. Reduce lights and leftover food. Regular maintenance.

Nothing will survive. You might get away when small but at some point it's going to die. Anything living with a puff is a food reserve.

I agree with algae above.

I have one in full marine who lives with 2 x clownfish, 2 x firefish, 1 x coral beauty, 2 x cleaner shrimp (who sometimes clean him) and a bunch of hermit crabs.
He is about 8 - 9 cm now, and thus far has been very peaceful. Never chased, nipped or eaten anyone. He is very cautious of the clownfish however, sometimes they nip or chase him if he gets to close to them.
He was added last if that makes a difference, and I know in the future attitudes can change. But I seem to have a more peaceful specimen than is considered usual.
