Alright, so this guy is about four inches right now, and I'm going to build an outdoor pond over summer that I'll eventually move him to. Anyway, to get to the point. Anyone know if a Rock Bass of the same size would get along with it? I like perch too, if anyone knows if I could possibly keep a perch with them.

Peace,
-Stu

Maybe. They cohabitate better along with several other fish, otherwise they can easily target each other and get into fights because it's only the 2 of them.
I dunno about perch, I haven't kept any.

Well, I'm catching them in streams around here (Central Illinois) so I can surely get more than one green sunny and rock bass, I don't know about the perch though.

It doesn't have to be other green sunfish or rock bass, just other fish that can hold their own like various other species of sunfish. Anything that will district them from just targetting one fish.

Alright, I have a little longear in my 20 gal too that I forgot about... the only problem now is growing him about two inches in a month.

Thanks,
-Stu

shouldnt be too bad, i have my sunfish peewee and his buddy miss piggy in a tank with monster oscars and they arent aggressive at all. But then again when i caught peewee he was only half a inch long and all of the fish have grown up together

how do you guys catch small sunnies w/ lures?
