Green Sunfish Breeding Questions

I have been keeping a mated pair of Greenies for over a year. They have spawned 7 or 8 times. (@ 300 fry at a time)
Out of all the fry, I have been able to successful raise only one to maturity. My questions is "Has anyone raised these guys ? Great fish but hard to raise. And yes my water and tanks are within normal ranges.

when i bred my old sunnies i feed the babies egg yolks, freezed dried bloodworms. and crushed up pellets. and when they got to bout an inch i through em back in for feeder treats. i know mean but hey free feeders.
