Green sunfish vs any type of cichlid

Yes I have, one of the Green Sunfish I used to own killed 2 African cichlids I put in the aquarium with it; the green was about 4-4 1/2inches long and the Cichlids were about 3 inches long.
 
my texas cichlid is harassing my bluegills, the smallest is a little more than twice it's size.
my greens are too small to do anything but die. the biggest is about 3" long. I have 26 sunnies and the greens are the slowest growing.

Take one of my green sunfish they will control your texas lol

I've seen green sunfish in action, I venture to say they would own most cichlids.
 
I think it would be evenly matched since most cichlids are related to sunnies. A few factors would come into play to determine the winner the same as in any fight.

Depending on the size n temperament of the Cichlid. Greens are just naturally aggressive. I'd say a full grown green vs a full grown Cichlid of the same size the green would win

Pretty much All the sunfish I have had have been super bad@$$. I've had them with my red devil and they didn't back down.
