Green terror and convicts.

Hello.

i have just finished cycling a 48" x 18 x 24 tank. I have a sand bottom and 30kg of white slate to make various caves and dividers as such. My stocking thoughts on this tank are leaning towards a male green terror and Female convicts. Firstly could this work? And how many females cons? My LFS has full grown female cons and 5" green terrors. Filtration is fluval 406.

A bit opposite of what you are seeking, but I have a female GT and male Con in a 265g community tank. They are the same size, give or take a wee bit, and by far the smallest fish in the tank. They hate each other, no fighting, but lots of face offs when either encroaches on the others property. Kinda comical, they are both all talk, no action!
