how bad will an adult green terror mess with plants? i have a juvenile now in a planted tank and he's doing fine in it. the tank I want to move him to is a 125 gal. i am moving some fish around.

My GT, at about 4" would pull and tug at all my plants. He was worse than some of my Mbuna's. It almost seemed like he was trying to show off his strength by pulling all of them out. I even seen him turn around real quick, bump into a rock, then try to pull that rock out of place kinda like he was pissed. It was freakin' funny!!

GT=no plants.

Not necessarily. I still use plants in my GT tank and rather than just planting them in the substrate, I either tie the down to a rock or pot them and then hide the pot behind a rock. That works great.

Another thing I did was because I was using egg crate under the gravel, I threaded fishing line in places I wanted to put plants like Java Ferns. After I put the gravel in, I tie the Ferns down. They never moved.

Most of the known GT's that you can buy are found in areas that have very little plants in the water. This is typical of rivers West of the Andes.

Mjime714 my GT just rips them to bits, but I may be blame as I put lettuce in my tank and they all go mad for it.

Ohh dont get me wrong. I dont doubt it. Im just saying that you can do it.

My GT ripped some ground cover and rotala's to shreds, but he would not touch the java ferns or amazon swords. He would just try to pull them out.
