green terror color question

Just picked up two green terrors, I noticed that they have a almost vercital black slash going through their eye's similar to the way that german rams do. They are small maybe 1 3/4 to 2" I was thinking this was somethinig that could be there as juvi's but fade with time. Is this normal?? I already looked around on google but could really see any pics with this. is this normal?

My gt never had a stripe and I got him under an inch

well some in the tank had them some did not. The dominant one did so i got it. hmm I think I will have to wait and see I guess.

this was my 1.5in GT and it does have what looks like stripes. Its definitely a GT as I also had a blue acara for comparison. turned out to be a beautiful female, still growing fast.

the striping will disappear with age.
