I got a Green Terror 3-1/2" maybe 4 months ago, within the first 2 weeks he showed the telltale signs of Hex/Spiro, mainly lack of appetite and and stringy white feces. After a grueling 3 week battle, with a cocktail of metro, epsom salt, and antibacterial meds, he finally showed improvement and began eating again.
Before the treatment he was a ferocious eater, and would suck down any sort of pellet or treat I gave him. Nowadays he doesn't eat much, I mean I see him actively eat anything from 2-5 pellets, but it's really not the same type of eating he did before. He pretty much doesn't eat any sort of treat since then: bloodworms-nope, krill-nope, daphnia-nope. He will sometimes eat a deshelled pea or two, and he is ravenous with earthworms.
More Info: He will often suck pellets in when they are sinking, only to spit them back out... normally he gives in eventually and sucks a couple up off the ground, and actually eats them.
I guess, my question is, is this normal... I mean it's been probably a month to month-1/2 since he was sick, and he just doesn't eat what would seem like a young fish should be eating... especially not when I compare him to his diet pre-sick. He doesn't really appear thin, but isn't very robust either. If he's just gonna keep eating the bear minimum, I fear he won't grow, and I should just redo the tank with a new fish.
