My gt female just layed eggs, not fertilized.... Should i vacum them up or will she just eat them.... I plan on pairing her up with a male soon so i dont want to mess up her favorite place to lay eggs. Any suggestions

Hi... Congrats on having a fertile Female. :)
You don't have to go & disturb the tank to vacuum them up.
If you have a compatible male in the tank you might get lucky & have the eggs fertilized & if not, just clean it up next time you do your water change.
What else do you have in the tank with the GT that laid eggs?

-Jill :)

Its a 29 gallon growout, the only tankmate is a 1 inch oscar and the gt is about 2.5-3 inches.... Dont think that they can crossbreed tho.... She layed them in a flower pot, if i take out the pot and clean them will she still lay there next time, or will it scare her? Also how often do they lay eggs?

You can remove them yourself if you want.
Just because she laid eggs there this time doesn't mean she'll choose the same spot again.

Good luck Breeding her

Ou might want to take the Oscar out, it might interfere with breeding. Congrats on the spawn btw

Thanks for the info....the oscar just hides behind thebheater ever since she layed them... Hope wen i take the eggs out they can go back to being friends
