Hi everyone, i had a problem with my baby GT (a little less then 2 inches), he started to make white poop, stopped eating, classical hexamita, so i treated him with sera flagellol and now everything seems to be better. But when i was doing my research to help him, i found some people saying that a high protein diet for GT can cause intestinal problems, like hexamita. Is that true?!
I currently feed him with Tetra Min and Tetra Color Bits, while he's young, when he gets bigger i might change for Tetra Cichlids Sticks, it's that suitable for him ?! If not what would you suggest ?!

I feed a combination of Hakari Excel & Bio-Gold+ with an ocasional meal worm or Krill. They omnivores and that's the way I feed mine. The pellets do however make up the bulk of it's diet. My GT has great colors and is doing very well on that diet. I have also heard they should not have a high protean diet, but do treat as stated above about once a week.

Hikari Bio Gold+ is some awesome stuff. Try adding some nls in there, the 1mm sinking pellets and you should notice some nice coloration.

Thanks for the replies, but unfortunately i can't find any Hikari around here, looks like they don't import it.
I have seen some of the new life spectrum pellets on the lfs, but i have never bought any of it, i always sticked with the Tetra ones...
Is New Life Spectrum a lot better than Tetra?! If so which ones would be better in my case?! Besides the GT i have 1 baby JD, 1 baby Synspilum, 2 yoyo loaches, 1 clown loach and 2 melanotaenia boesemani.
Any help is apreciated.

On the advise of cchhcc I started using NLS Thera-A on my Vieja Argentea it is very good and if you can find it use that on your young GT.
