All- This is my first MFK post . I have been in the hobbyfor over 30 years and am interested in what others have to say and amparticularly interested in growing the hobby in the Indy area. I have keptabout everything from time to time. I currently own over 90 aquariums. Ipurchased the fish room from a local pet store that decided to replace alltheir tanks with a couple of MARS systems. I am in the process of stocking themand building a new fish room. My large aquariums are dedicated to cichlids. Ihave included a photo of my green terror "George" .

Hello and welcome to MFK,

George is a beautiful Gold Saum, nice finage with a colorful body of green along with a sizable hump for a Saum. Does George have a girlfriend? I think I see some black skirt tetras with him, usually they do fine with Saums but I would have thought a guy his size would have considered them a snack - this is partially why I love Saums so much as their temperament towards smaller tankmates can be rather docile yet are able to hang with some central cichlids at the same time.

Do you have a shot of the 75g with the group of Nics? They are probably my favorite Central cichlid and I love seeing them in groups (usually only see a pair per tank). Any paired off and if so how is the aggression when spawning towards the rest of the group?

I have found that they are tolerant of many other smaller fish. I have trois of Black Tetras, Columbian Blue/Red Tetras, Buenos Aires Tetras, and a pair of Botia Striata and a small group of silver dollars. It is a relativly peaceful tank. I actually must watch placing catfish or other types of fish in with him as they may tear up his trailers on his anal and dorsal fins. I am keping an eye on the silver dollars to be sure they do not start doing thsi. have these tetras in with hime for over 5 months and he has not eaten them yet. However since things were going so well with the terta mix I added some small angel fish.... He ate those. I will take some pics of the nics and send post them. For now I will post some pics of my tanks I just bought and a shot of my Electric Blues and a shot of My Bocorti taken at the ACAC this year.
