Looking for suggestions on what to feed my Green Terror. I had a black convict that I was feeding Hikari sinking carnivore pellets but she sadly passed at the age of 5 years old. I have had the green terror for 2 months and still not sure if male or female but growing like a weed. Constantly wants to eat. Currently we are feeding Omega One cichlid flakes that we got at the fishstore because the pellets I had were for a full grown fish. Then we started crushing the pellets because the fish never seemed to get enough to eat with the flakes. My convict never ate this much and also did not grow as fast as this one so I don't know if this is normal behavior? The tank is well established and I check the water conditions weekly and do water changes as needed. The fish color looks great and I will try to get a picture posted and maybe you all can help me figure out the sex(won't left me post a picture yet since I am new) but for now just looking for food recommendations. Hikari or New life spectrum? Thanks

I have been using NLS for all of my fish for years with good results.

It's what I currently feed my GT's. Occasionally I feed Algae/spirulina wagers, a few live earthworms, or frozen food, but my main staple is NLS pellets.

Thanks, does it need to be the cichlid formula? On amazon it only comes in 1mm sinking. I know I want sinking but 1mm seems kinda small for a 3 inch fish.

At that size I feed nls general formula or omega one salt water version. I also dose nls hex shield every so often

I've used nls, hikari, southern delight, and omega one. I think the best results I've seen are from ultrared nls but it's pretty expensive. I was just debating buying some more for some new growouts I acquired. It comes in 1 and 2 mm size pellets I believe.

Omega one and nls are generally available locally and have good ingredients. My fish don't seem to like omega one though which is unfortunate. They love hikari bio gold plus but the ingredient list isn't as good

Mines around 4 inches and he eats the 1mm NLS pellets, along with the Hikari mini pellets, also eats mysis shrimp, flakes, bloodworms and picks at algae pellets. He/she eats whatever I throw in there. The flakes I feed are Marine formula (left overs) they like them.
