went to one of the better LFS today. they get some nice stuff in. they had Green Terrors and it was listed that they are from Singapore. They were lighter in color and better looking then the standard ones in the other tanks and at two inches the one i got has a hump already on its head.

my question is does anyone have any knowledge about these guys? do they appear in the wild in Singapore? or are they just raised there? and info would be appreciated. thanks, sorry for lack of pic

Nope, Green Terrors are strictly South American. The true Green Terror is the Aequidens rivulatus

yeai know its not one of the true ones from SA, and i i figured they are only in the wild there, but its good to know high quality ones are probably bred in Singapore. its colors def prove that. thanks

do you have any pictures of the little guy. I'd like to see it now that you have made it sound so nice. Specially the hump on a 2" specimen.:)

sorry dont have the program for my digi to my comp. im not good with that stuff. its fish looks very similar to any other, but the colors are def lighter and brighter, and there is a hump developing. i have gotten one before from shark aquarium that was small and wild caught that had a hump too, shouldnt have gotten rid of it. other then that its a green terror like most others, but its funny cause i have one that was your standard one from the LFS which is actually a very nice speciman but he is four inches and no hump.

Those are farm-raised, and also are bred with some quimics, or something like that, dont remember exactly but i have heard of them also from Japan. They are hybrids not because an interbreed species, just because they are worked on laboratories:D , anyway i just have seen one, ill post it pic of the full grown one ive seen on the web, also 3 of 10 of each of this GT survive, well thats what i have read on them, ill find that page, it have also info of blood parrots, the jaguar/RT hybrid(manaconda i think), red TX, and others.

i dont mean to be impatient, but have you got the pic yet

We need the smiley that has a bunch of smilies holding signs saying"this thread is worhtless without pics". Especially for this website that has so many threads asking for advice and not posting a pic(ive done so in the past) for advice where one would be needed to give any legitimate advice.
