The blue corner
I got a group of 6 of these earlier this year hoping to get a nice pair to breed from. I now seem to have a male and female at the 2" mark that seem to be dominant amongst the rest, this pair I have noticed have retained the dark patch in the middle of the body where the other 4 appear to have very faint dark patches. Would this info suggest that these 2 fish are a dominant pair? And what should I do now i.e get rid of the other 4 fish etc

Cheers
Andy

Dominant fishes tend to be larger and more colorful than their counterparts.

I have never bred them but someone that has told me that they can be kept harem style breeding groups so one male can be kept with several females.

Personally for me I would keep the dominant male in a tank by himself and if still want to breed use the others for breeding.
