I've read where some people said that poor water conditions can stunt growth, but if you put a fish back into good conditions will it grow faster to kind of catch up to where it should be? I know this sounds stupid, but my friend gave me a male GT that was a little smaller than the female I had. My buddy took really bad care of the GT, he NEVER did water changes, just kept topping the tank off (for about 9 months) and gave me the fish when it was on it's last leg. It's been about two months since he gave me the fish and it healthy now and huge! its way bigger than my female now. Its about 4", is this a normal growth spurt?
