Green Terror growth

I have a Grren Terror. Purchased it when it was about an inch. After about 5 months, it grew an extra 2 inches. The process is so slow compared to my Flowerhorn, which grew about an inch a month.

I know that Green Terrors have a slower growth rate, but it makes me impatient.

I guess in comparison to other fish they grow slower. My female grew slower, but my male has been growing at a good rate I think. I got him at 2" three months ago and he is about 5" now. So about an inch a month.
The fry I'm growing is around 2 months old and an inch long.

I've never heard of a gt growing at a inch monthly. More like 1/4-1/2" a month

I think it might be due to my water being so warm and I feed small amounts multiple times a day.
My female has never eaten as much as my male does. Maybe that why she has grown slower? Now of course her slow growth is due to spawning and caring for little ones.
