Came home from work today and found my 4 inch GT pretty much almost floating around... she looked fine yesterday but today she looks bad. She has lost all her color, looks like she is breathing very shallow, and also seems like white pieces of skin? or something flaking of her scales.... I put her in a bucket with luke warm water but i dont know what to do next. I messed up and I need to save my family fish... someone help...thanks. I did a big water change on Tuesday, and the tank is sitting at 74 degrees.

Why did you put it in a bucket of lukewarm water? It is usually better to bump up the temp a bit when fish are sick....

well i figured maybe something could be wrong with the fish tank water.

ammonia, nitrate, etc levels? did you add dechlor to the tank after the wc? woulda never put it in a "bucket of luke warm water". Tankmates? We need more information to help you and pictures will help. This is like going to the doctor and only staying my tummy hurts.

nevermind she is dead, thanks guys.. case closed

If theres one fish that has been absolutely Impossible for me to keep it's been the GT. These guys seem to be so easily over-come by parasites. I've tried 4x from dif. stores and if I ever dare to tempt fate again the new GT will spend his beginings soaking in API general cure for a few daze.----- That really sux - sorry.
