Greetings!

New to this site, and kinda new at keeping green terrors. I have to say I'm kinda jealous looking at some of the beautiful GT's you guys have posted!

Can anyone offer advice on how to grow a large nuchal hump on a male green terror? As of right now I'm feeding daily frozen krill, Hikari Gold pellets, and tetra cichlid flakes.

I want to grow these fish monstrously large--so I'm willing to hear any suggestions!

-Thanks

I dont think theres any special technique and getting them larger than others. Just keep a healthy fish and it will grow. Try adding some worms into the GTs diet like bloodworms, or a earthworm once in awhile. Try some vegetable matter once in awhile too.

First off you have to have a Male, 2nd to amass size you need a large body of water
and patients - genetics as stated previously plays a huge roll. Frequent water changes and small varied feedings several times daily help promote healthy growth...................also helps alot if the GT is the dominant fish in the tank and is not supressed by larger or more aggressive fish.

the male green terror will have to be the dominant fish and it will help to have other, sub dominant males or a mirror you can place by the tank for a couple of hours a day. The male needs to be able to display his dominance over another submissive fish <preferably another male> to get his hump to grow.
