Which would work better with a Firemouth, Senegal Bichir, 2 pictus catfish, and a Clown Barb in a 55g?

I would choose Green terror. JDs are very aggresive and I've heard of a guy that had his polypterus bichir's head bitten of by a JD. Its depends od the size of ur fish that u have and the JD or green terror ur gonna get.

It really depends on the individual fish. My JD likes hanging out and laying ontop of my Delhezi. I would even say he is a softy, but my female GT is one mean son of a gun, well at least to everyone outside the tank LOL. She lets the other fish know whos boss but hasnt hurt or attacked any of them yet...besides my hand.

I know both JDs and GTs grow pretty slow, but I would aim for a female if you plan on keeping them in the 55g for life since males can get 10"-12" respectively and the 55g wouldnt give them alot of turning room when full size.
