,The poo from the GT is much longer and thinner than when you compare the poo to that of an oscar, pbass, or pike. The oscar puts out poo like erasers, short and stubby. The GT poo is probably less than half as thick but 3x longer.
White poo, like solid white paint, could be the result of what it just ate. Translucent poo, like a light bulb, or clearer is the mucus lining of the digestive system. This will happen with a GT under severe stress and/or not enough algae/aquatic plant in their diet. A parasitic infection will cause severe stress as much as cichlid aggression (whether the GT is being chased or it's chasing other fish too much). If it's not enough algae/aquatic plant material, it can be fixed by feeding mostly NLS algaemax. After 2-3 weeks of algaemax, you will see considerably less stringy clear whitish poo. You generally don't see the issue until around 5-6".
I would change the diet first before treating for parasites.
