A friend of mine bought a f1 GT at about 4" for $20. It is much larger now and looks very nice. I wont get into the argument over genuine GTs and pet store varieties. That topic has been beat to death on this forum many times already. I honestly could care less about it. But I see them all the time at other places between $1.99-$4.00. The lower price ones are not FO or F2 though. I have a cheap one from petsmart and he looks better than my buddy's. Prices vary from place to place and region to region. What comes cheap in my area is sometimes very expensive in other parts of the country.
My female is from F1 parents. Paid $6 from a local breeder. Id say i got a good deal for her. She was about 1in.
Depends on the availability. Locally I can get a GT for $1.88. But every lfs and also the fish conglomerates like petco and petsmart have it readily available here.
