i would say male but im not too sure........ if the fins are both pointed should be male if they tips are round then its female....

Can never rely on how pointed or round a fishes fins are to determine sex. I have seen numerous females with pointed fins and males with rounded fins due to aggression from tankmates.


That one looks like a female to me, patterns on it's gillplate looks alittle thicker than that of males.

i was just saying...... i agree tankmates will nip fins.... it looks like mine when it was smaller...

I agree, it looks like a female to me too. I picked out the most colorful and personable GT, which also had pointed fins and I thought I had myself a male but he ended up being a she with awesome color and trailers!
