green terror tank mates to make him dominate

Fido I don't blame you, everyone on MFK seems to want you to keep a single fish in a 100 gallon tank and have no more than a pair of cichlids in a 4 foot tank, which I can say is complete bull****. everyone has a different opinion when it comes to fish keeping but unless you want to be told over and over again youre overstocked there are other cichlid forums you could post on and get a more positive responce.
if you want to make your GT dominant you need some wussy little push around cichlids in there, I suggest something like rainbow cichlids.. or maybe some silver dollars would be cool. you want something that can easily be dominated but not killed if the GT decides to go nasty.

MFK stocking advice varies greatly.
I have convicts, oscars, a firemouth and a Red Devil in my tank. All of which are below my GT in the pecking order. So i believe it doesn't matter what species of fish it is as long as it can take a beating and isn't likely to grow larger and more aggressive than the GT, then you're good to go.

Yep it varies greatly on the individual personality of the cichlids, my GT is female and grows very slowly and is very submissive. but other people have had the opposite.
remember that GT's tend to grow slowly compared to RD's JD's and texas etc, so make sure you don't get any fish that will outgrow him and then end up dominating the GT.
My female GT is probably a lot more fiesty than my male, despite being half his size. However, when it comes to it the male is the big boss. The male is submissive to the female, she is the only one he even lets close.
Have to agree though, females grow really slow. Also, now that the female has been breeding her growth is slowed even more.
