My female green terror had a swollen mouth for a few days, still ate but could only eat very small pellets and particles that floated around left over from other hungary fish.. took her out of the tank tonight and we planned to put her in the hospital tank to treat her with meds..something made my husband take a look in her mouth.. he got the tweezers and held her with a wet cloth around her to keep her gills wet..i held the magnifying glass while he gently opened her mouth ..with the tweezers he pulled out a piece of fake plant that was lodged in her throat.. big fuzzy green plastic came out.. poor thing.. put her back in the tank and observed that her mouth was still open ..may stay that way but she is alive.. thank goodness he took the time to examine her..you just never know...
